Fix Outlook Error 'Support Code 0x8503001F'!

Microsoft resolves the synchronization issue of the MS Outlook application with Windows mobile device with its very efficient program called ActiveSync. To perform its function in a better manner this application needs to interact with Outlook’s PST file for which an error free PST is required to synchronized the data. Failing to accomplish this condition Outlook generally prompts error messages and refuses to carry out data synchronization with the program. However this issue can be resolved and the corrupt PST file can be repaired either by using inbuilt Inbox Repair Tool or by using third party PST Repair software.




Let’s consider a scenario which illustrates the similar kind of problem as mentioned above where suppose a Windows user uses Windows device to synchronize data with MS Outlook application on his desktop using ActiveSync tool. But in the meanwhile when you try to perform the synchronization operation the application crashes with no results. In addition to that user receives an error message which says –

"Support code 0x8503001F"

This error message is encountered by the user at the time of synchronizing the Outlook data.




Cause

Out of the various reasons causing the above issue, some are mentioned below –

• ActiveSync installation issues.
• Corrupted partnership of computer.
• Outlook’s PST is infected with corruption errors.



Solution

In order to resolve this issue and error message just try the below mentioned steps –

• Recreate existing partnership, using following steps –
  • Disconnect the Windows device from the computer.
  • Go to ActiveSync.
  • Click File | Delete Partnership.
  • Reconnect the device and follow as prompted, to create a new partnership.
• Re-install ActiveSync if above mentioned doesn't work.
• As a next option run Outlook's inbuilt tool i.e. Inbox Repair Tool to fix the inconsistency issues of Outlook's PST file. To run this inbuilt utility try the following steps –
  • Close Outlook
  • Click 'Start' and select 'Find' or 'Search'
  • Type 'Scanpst.exe' in the name box for finding files and folders
  • Double-click the file to launch 'Inbox Repair Tool'
  • Specify the PST file name and path
  • Click 'Start'

Once the repair process of this tool completes, it gives a success message regarding the compilation of the process. If this tool cannot repair the PST file then you need to go with this second option to repair the corrupt PST file and I. by using any third party software.
